floccinauci (2015) Wasn't sure where to take my car for an LPG and engine service. Then found UMR Engines and was very impressed with them: friendly, up front with costs, and came across as experienced, straightforward, and genuinely wanting to give a quality service. They discovered a couple of significant issues that don't seem recent yet I find it difficult to believe they were not noticed (contributed to?) in a previous service by another company. Happy to go back to UMR Engines.
malradamus (2013/14) I have been a long term customer of UMR Engines and can't recommend them enough. I have entrusted my vehicles to them for over 25 years with work ranging from a general service to a full engine rebuild. I used to live close by but in recent years I live more than 40 minutes away and have been "caught out badly" recently by trying a closer workshop for what was to be a simple job. I have a 2010 model Suzuki Grand Vitara which, when it came out of warranty needed its coolant changed so I took it to a close by workshop which was supposed to be a recognized Australia wide franchise. Within 1000kms my near new car (30000kms) started to show signs of overheating. When I called the RACQ I had to have it towed, so it went directly to UMR, after I had phoned them late in the afternoon. The owner of UMR waited for me and the car to arrive until 8pm at night on the towtruck...just part of their service! After much testing UMR diagnosed that the original coolant had not been fully removed and the new coolant mixed with it had caused a chemical reaction which had blocked the radiator by up to 60%. The best option they told me was to replace the radiator with a new genuine item which I did as the car is basically brand new. All this because I was too lazy to drive the 40 minutes to someone I had trusted for many years. We have 4 cars in our family (from high performance HSV's to Mazdas) and I will never go anywhere else again. Thanks again UMR!
Cessna172RG Found oil in my radiator coolant. Expecting the worst, I took my car to UMR motors and asked them to check it out. They booked me in and called back later explaining they had found the problem, which was auto trans oil weeping into the radiator. They advised a repair plan and quoted. Gave them the go ahead and the car was returned fixed late. Great service, will certainly use again
carolyn Sutherland (16/03/2016) We are so pleased to have had Grant from UMR engines helping us through an ordeal with our Hyundai iload. He saved us money, went beyond the call of duty and had a reconditioned engine fitted in double quick time.
Robyn F...... (July 2014) These guys are the best mechanics out there. We have been taking our cars to them since the early 1990s and they always do a great job, are reliable and go that extra mile for you. Keep up the good work lads. Thanks
Keirra R...  (July 2015) Amazing service!
